Wonbin Yang’s Segnisiter continuus from Species series is presented as an example of techno-ecological kinetic art. The dissertation reproduces an image of the work as Figure 39 and discusses it in relation to recycling, neglected urban environments, artificial organisms, technological autonomy, and the idea of the “art-cyborg.”

Nikola M. Marković’s dissertation examines how kinetic sculpture and artistic practice have influenced the language of contemporary architecture. It traces historical approaches to movement in art and architecture and proposes kinetic archisculpture as a way of understanding architectural structures whose movement, interaction, and sculptural form are integral to their design.
Within a section on new tendencies in kinetic sculptural practice, Marković considers automation, robotics, cyborgs, virtual structures, and techno-ecological art. He presents Segnisiter continuus as an evolutionary and symbolic ecological concept emerging from discarded urban material.
The accompanying footnote describes Yang’s practice as an exploration of technological systems interacting with local ecosystems. It characterizes the works as autonomous kinetic organisms assembled from rubbish and recycled mechanical components, classified with Latinized names, and imagined as evolving alongside human inhabitants.
